The 2014 version of Miami Spice is here. The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau welcome us back with the most delicious and fancy dining deals that help fill restaurants during the slow summer months and allow some of us who don't do fancy dining on a regular basis enjoy lavish meals at a discounted price.

Compared to last year, things are very different. This year lunch is a flat $23 and dinner $39. Also different are the total number of restaurants, 174 at last count, down from more than 200 the previous year.

MC Kitchen
Homestyle Italian dishes is a must during Miami Spice, and Chef Dena Marino is at her best by going off the menu this year . Lunch can start with slices of pan seared Yellow Fin Tuna with summer vegetables. You can follow with  a bowl of gnocchi carbonara . Also try the ossobucco with polenta and salsa verde gremolata . Available for lunch Monday through Friday; dinner Sunday through Thursday.


Zuma
We recommend visiting Zuma during lunch for the Chirashi Don. Enjoy as much as you can of  Zuma's cocaine-priced sashimi , resting atop a bed of sushi rice with avocado and salmon, get busy. Available for lunch Monday through Friday; dinner Monday and Tuesday.


Azul
 During Miami Spice you can get three courses for the cost of the "Loup de Mer" and choices include "steak and eggs" tartare, beet root vichyssoise with lobster, and Key West pink shrimp risotto. Available for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
