Jerusalem at the IMAX Theater - The documentary film "Jerusalem" plays each day through May 30 at The IMAX Theater at World Golf Hall of Fame. This film explores how this small city became such a pivotal part of human history. Jerusalem is home to some of the most sacred sites in the world for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Journey: 450 Years of the African-American Experience - Journey: 450 Years of the African American Experience covers the long and storied history of African-Americans in St. Augustine. The story of African-Americans begins in St. Augustine with the first Africans both free and slave among founding colonists in 1565. The exhibition is designed for cultural and heritage visitors interested in the full history of America and its beginnings and comprises four themes: Genesis of the African-American Experience; Fortress of Freedom; Breaking the Chains; and Crossroads of Change. Tickets are $5 for adults; $4 for seniors; $3 for youth 7-12; under 7 free. Free admission for military in uniform. El Galeón Tour - Tour a full-sized replica of a 17th century Spanish galleon. Docked at the St. Augustine City Marina, El Galeón Andalucia is an exact replica of the famous galleons that played an important role in the creation and maintenance of the Spanish Empire. Built in Spain, it is similar to the galleon that brought Pedro Menendez to Florida where he founded St. Augustine in 1565. The ship is available for tours beginning at 10 a.m. daily. Society of Mixed Media Exhibition - A juried exhibition of the Society Of Mixed Media Artists. Chosen artists will exhibit their latest works of art. 3rd Monday Art & Merchant Walk - The St. Augustine Beach Arts Group hosts their 3rd Monday Art & Merchant Walk on St. Paddy's Day from 5 - 8 p.m. The walk runs from Oddities on the north of A1A Beach Blvd. and south to The Sunshine Shop. The Last Good War: The Faces and Voices of World War II - Exhibit of photographs of 30 World War II veterans along with their stories of the Last Good War opens at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. Photographer Thomas Sanders captured these images and stories now presented in a traveling exhibition that will be at the Cultural Center through April 4. "The Limits of Legislation: The Black Freedom Struggle After 1964" Lecture - Flagler College Assistant Professor Michael Butler discusses the cultural issues that continued to divide whites and blacks in the years after legal segregation ended. He will also discuss the resulting unforeseen political and economical consequences experienced by the local community into the 21st century. His talk is part of Flagler College's Community Lecture Series titled "The Rights Revolution: Civil Rights, Human Rights and Beyond." Admission is $5 to the 10 a.m. lecture in the Flagler Room. Founding of Fort Mose - The founding of Fort Mose on March 15, 1738, is the central theme of programs presented from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. At 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., noted experts from the University of Florida or University of South Florida will present enlightening discussions of the role of slavery in the struggle between Spain and Britain for control of the southeastern United States. Walk on the Wild Side at Anastasia State Park - Join a Park Service volunteer for a hike to observe what life is like on the wild side. The walk starts at 1 p.m. on the beautiful shoreline, continues up through the sand dues, and travels along the boardwalk over the salt marsh. After an intermission at the Windsurf Pavilion, the hike continues along the estuarine habitat of Salt Run and through the maritime hammock. Participants may choose to only walk the first half or the full 2.5-mile round trip. Suggested items to bring are binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, camera, drinking water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Pirate Plunder Tour - St. Augustine City Walks presents a one-hour tour featuring the town's most famous pirate lore. Voices from the Past at the Castillo de San Marcos - The National Park Service will celebrate Women's History Month with a guided tour of the Castillo that features re-enactors portraying women from St. Augustine's who describe the city's long history through their unique stories. Tours begin at the Castillo's ticket booth at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. and will be limited to 30 participants per tour. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 5-15, and free for children under 5.
