Celebrate Valentines Day with Smoldering Specials at South Florida’s Hottest Restaurants


Miami Dade Restaurants:

Meat Market

Lincoln Road’s sizzling spot for succulent steaks and seafood, will offer several romantically-inspired á la carte specials this Valentine’s Day. For an appetizer, diners can enjoy six Kusshi oysters topped with cucumber sorbet and black bowfin caviar ($29). An entrée special for two features a 2 lb. lobster split and steamed, paired with wood-grilled filet mignon with wild mushrooms, short rib marmalade and roasted baby beets ($89). For an even more unforgettable meal, guests can upgrade to a 28 oz. Broadleaf Kobe style Waygu ribeye with the lobster ($199). The restaurant will also offer a Miami-inspired libation to help celebrate the holiday of “amor”. The Cocoa Sueno ($15) – tequila Ocho Plata, white crème de cocoa, agave syrup, lemon juice and mint leaves – is sure to heat up the evening.

Tongue & Cheek

Will offer a “Lovers” themed four course prix-fixe menu from Friday, February 14 – Sunday, February 16. The menu, priced at $150 per couple includes a bottle of red or white wine to complement Chef Jamie DeRosa’s farm-to-fork contemporary American cuisine. In addition, mixologist Sara Welch will create a “Lovers” libations menu. Beverage pairings for each course will be available at an additional cost. Guests dining on Valentine’s Day will enjoy live musical entertainment. T&C will offer a takeaway dinner package for couples seeking an intimate at-home experience; available for $100 per couple, the meal will include three courses. Takeaway orders must be placed no later than Wednesday, February 12.

The Dutch

The Miami outpost of Andrew Carmellini’s award-winning NYC restaurant, will offer a Valentine’s Day á la carte special in addition to the regular dinner menu. Lovers can enjoy whole roasted snapper a la chalaca for two – fresh fish covered in a light vegetable crudo with a spicy kick, served with a Florida citrus salad, hearts of palm and local mustard greens. For dessert, acclaimed pastry chef Joshua Gripper will present his sinful “Chocolate Lovers Grail” – chocolate custard, milk chocolate chantilly, passion fruit and white chocolate sorbet, served with local strawberries, almond merengue and caramel chocolate sauce drizzled on top.

Quattro Gastronomia Italiana

The authentic Italian gem nestled in the heart of Lincoln Road, will offer a Valentine’s Day tasting menu priced at $85 per person (excludes tax and gratuity). The meal will begin with a selection of antipasti from land and sea – tuna crudo with avocado mousse; Maine lobster and caviar; and salmon tartare with crispy capers will be served in addition to polenta with truffle fonduta; steak tartare with quail egg and crispy porcini mushroom. For the main course, guests can choose between risotto with burrata, sea scallops and fava beans or beef filet tagliata with asparagus salad and parmesan fondue. For dessert, diners can indulge in mint pannacotta with strawberry sorbet and chocolate mousse with vanilla mascarpone.

HaVen Gastro-Lounge

Miami Beach’s hotspot for hand-crafted cocktails and tasty bites, will offer a Valentine’s Day prix-fixe dinner featuring an array of eclectic sharing plates that are sure to please. Priced at $150 per couple (excludes tax and gratuity), the meal will begin with two glasses of Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut and a sushi and ceviche assortment. Next, diners will enjoy truffle-honey glazed quail with morel bread pudding and roasted king crab with grilled artichokes and serrano-ponzu butter. For the main course, couples will feast on pan roasted halibut with cauliflower trio and caviar butter, and chateaubriand green peppercorn-cognac flambé with white asparagus. For a sweet ending, coconut crème bruleé with mango tapioca and yuzu-passion jellies and A Kiss Goodnight – an assortment of chef’s selected salty and spicy chocolates will be served. Devon Seafood + Steak

South Miami’s go-to for premium-quality steaks and seafood, will offer a Valentine’s Day three course prix-fixe dinner menu from Friday, February 14 – Sunday, February 16. Priced at $95 per couple or $50 for individuals (excludes beverages, tax and gratuity); couples can select two appetizers, two entrées and two desserts to share, while individuals can select one option from each course. The meal will begin with a choice between baby greens, spinach and watercress salad, Maine lobster bisque or fresh-shucked oysters. For the main course, diners can select from char crusted ahi tuna; 8 oz. filet mignon with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and rosemary demi-glace; seared sea scallops with lobster risotto, Champagne beurre blanc and Tobiko caviar; or surf and turf combination – 6 oz. filet mignon with ½ lb. lobster tail, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and drawn butter ($10 supplement). For dessert, guests can choose from a sweet selection that includes vanilla bean crème bruleé, chocolate lava cake, apple croustade or mixed fresh berries and cream. 3030 Ocean

The elegant seaside restaurant at Fort Lauderdale’s Harbor Beach Marriot, will feature a four course Valentine’s Day prix-fixe, priced at $90 per person (excludes tax and gratuity). The meal will begin with a choice between Pacific oysters, laughing bird shrimp ceviche or chilled sweet potato soup, followed by a choice of red beet agnolotti with goat cheese cream and candied walnuts; soft poached farm egg with creamy polenta, crispy local mushrooms and shaved truffle or charred octopus with frissé, shaved celery, parsley and Meyer lemon aioli. Main course options will include ahi tuna with forbidden black rice, edamame and citrus soy vinaigrette; beef tenderloin with carrot puree and Vidalia onion jam; or seafood bouillabaisse for two – tomato broth, grilled bread and rouille. For dessert, diners can choose between milk chocolate panna cotta with bruleed bananas and milk crumb, or cake with local strawberries and ice cream. Casa D’Angelo

The renowned Tuscan restaurant helmed by acclaimed chef Angelo Elia, will offer a special Valentine’s Day á la carte menu at Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton locations. Available from 5 – 11 p.m. on Friday, February 14, offerings will include pasta fagioli soup, a selection of antipasti including Antipasti Angelo – a hand-selected chef’s assortment; calamari & zucchini fritti; Gamberi alla Mamma Giovanna – tiger prawns wrapped in Italian pancetta, grilled and served over broccoli rapini; and Melanzane Ripiene – baby eggplant stuffed with San Daniele prosciutto di parma and bufala mozzarella with fresh basil tomato sauce.

Fresh beef and tuna carpaccio will be available, in addition to an array of salads; Insalata Fantasia Al Caprino – arugula, endive and radicchio with balsamic vinegar and goat cheese; Insalata Angelo – chopped organic romaine lettuce, Asiago cheese, tomatoes, onions and roasted red peppers, tossed in balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil; Mozzarella di Bufala – Bufala mozzarella imported from Southern Italy with beefsteak tomatoes and roasted peppers; and Insalata di Arugula – arugula and tomato salad with Reggiano cheese and lemon citronette.

Artisanal pasta options include Fettuccine Saltate Ragu Di Vitello – house-made fettuccine with roasted herbed veal and ragout; Pappardelle Con Porcini E Gamberi; Orecchiete Salsiccia e Broccoli Rapini – Orecchiete with house-made sausage, broccoli rabe, extra virgin olive oil and red pepper; Risotto al Porcini – risotto with porcini mushrooms and white truffle oil; and Gnocchi Alla Mamma – gnocchi with fresh tomato, basil and fresh Bufala mozzarella.

Main plates from the grill and wood-burning oven include Galletto Ruspante Al Forno – wood-oven roasted free range chicken with roasted garlic, white wine, tomatoes and herbs, served with broccoli rapini and Tuscan potatoes; Gamberoni Alla Griglia – oak grilled jumbo prawns with arugula-tomato bruschetta and truffle-lemon citronette; or Pesce del Giorno, fresh fish of the day (market price), featuring several varieties chosen by Chef Elia. Decadent dessert options feature a baked apple tart finished with cinnamon ice cream and Chocolate Delizia D’Angelo with vanilla ice cream; tiramisu, ricotta cheesecake, homemade gelato, tartufo, berries zabaglione or cannolo.
