2011 FOUNTAIN MERCURY KING BUSTER 400
Put your fishing skills to the test in the premiere Southern Kingfish competition of the year - with over $175,000 in cash and prizes! The tournament starts from St. Augustine Municipal Marina, located at Avenida Menendez and the Bridge of Lions. The King Buster 400 is limited to 400 boats. Fishing days are Friday and Saturday. There will be a party with live music Friday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and prizes will be awarded at Sunday's Festivites from noon to 6 p.m.. Tournament entry fees are $449.50. MURDER MYSTERY DINNER THEATER
Experience the first theater on St. Augustine's St. George Street since a terrible fire destroyed the Genovar Opera House in 1914. COMEDY AND CLASSIC SONGS
Start your weekend with mesmerizing comedy when hypnosis comedian Dr. Jon Taylor performs on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Old Florida Museum's Pioneer Barn. W.W.R.A. RODEO AT ST. JOHNS COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Head over to the St. Johns County Fairgrounds for a night at the rodeo. There will be fun for the whole family including Barrel racing, team roping, kids calf scramble (for those 10 and under and free), tiedown roping, bull riding, chute dogging and more. ANDREW YOUNG CROSSING DEDICATION
Don't miss the dedication ceremony for the new Andrew Young Crossing monument in St. Augustine's Plaza de la Constitucion. The monument commemorates Ambassador Young's experience in St. Augustine during the push for the passage of the Civil Rights Act in 1964. Ambassador Young will be in attendance. Join the Friends of Washington Oaks for their 2nd Saturday Plant Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Choose from citrus plants for the patio/lanai, Valentine's plants for your sweetheart and many other varieties. A portion of the plants for sale were propagated and grown right there in the park by volunteers. All proceeds benefit the park for enhancement of current and new facilities.
